Alice In Wonderland: Tim Burton

Update: New Images From Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland!
Source: USA Today June 22, 2009

UPDATE: From Yahoo! Movies come two more photos, one of Mia Wasikowska as Alice and the other of Matt Lucas as Tweedledee and Tweedledum. They've been added below!

USA Today has published new images from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland featuring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen. Also included are three more pieces of concept art.

The article explains that the March 5, 2010 release, co-starring Michael Sheen, Mia Wasikowska, Matt Lucas, Crispin Glover, Stephen Fry and Alan Rickman, is almost like a sequel to the original story:

The traditional tale has been freshened with a blast of girl power, courtesy of writer Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast). Alice, 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn't remember.

It's Saturday Again

I went up to the tunnels in the Jemez this morning.
I can't tell you how relaxing it was to just sit back and enjoy the drive. :)
Read an old book.
Feel the wind in my face.
Taking pictures.
Life.

New Beginnings

Orientation is coming up very soon and I have no idea what to expect. Sure, I've asked my friends what happened when they went, but words can never truly prepare you for the reality of a situation. I'll be the first to admit that I'm a person who loves control. I love to know exactly what to expect at every minute of the day in an outlined form. I allow myself freedom within the outline, but the basic outline should stay the same.
Whenever the plan changes, my stress level shoots through the roof (depending on the situation, of course). When working with people, I usually want to be the one in charge. However, that normally doesn't happen and I end up expecting everyone else to slack off, which results in my doing extra work just-in-case to compensate for any possible situations.
And so I finally get to the point. College is something new. A beginning. A look into the uncertain future. I'm sure you'll realize that this makes me very squeamish. In fact, I've been noticeably stressed for the better part of a week now. The closer to the event it gets, the worse my general attitude will be. Beware.
I'm trying to de-stress as they call it, but my jaw remains as tense as ever. I suppose it's a process. I can imagine when finals come around. My jaw feels the pressure already. *resigned smile*

Open Eyes

Open Eyes

To make things simpler, I'll try to make the title of any posts with MY photos in them "Open Eyes."

These pictures are from a grad. party I went to. The strawberries looked absolutely delicious.

Graduation

So I've graduated from high school. I know, I know. This blog post is just a tad bit late lol. Oh well. At least you're getting it now. Anyway, I wish to thank everyone who came to graduation and my party. Thanks to all my friends for letting me use them as models! They are so patient with me! :D
So, between the water fights and twister boards and icky white graduation robes, what is there to say? We're out. We're free. But sometimes it doesn't feel that way.
Sometimes it feels more like I'm walking into a trap. What trap? I have no idea.
Well, hopefully everything will turn out okay. Sally #2 keeps telling me to stop freaking out and he always knows best. Him and Bob. :D
So there are many people I haven't talked to in ages. I'm not too great with keeping up on the communications just so everyone knows. Sorry!
But that's life.
I should probably finish writing all my thank you cards today, but I really don't feel motivated.
So I don't think I will.

Movie Update: The Edge of Love
Book Update: Grotesque by Natsuo Kirino
Music Update: New Divide by Linkin Park

Besides doing absolutely nothing, I've been on Facebook ALL THE TIME. It's probably unhealthy how much I'm on fb. Oh well.
On another note, I finally have my very own Canon.
Dad has the 40D, but I just got the Canon Rebel T1i. 15 megapixels baby!
And I have a thing for naming cameras. Hey, it's just like an instrument. So I've named my Rebel Link Logan.
And the 40D's name is Aramis (after one of the 3 musketeers).
My Nikon is named Sebastian.
And I guess that's all lol.

I know this post was super random and riddled with mistakes, but I really didn't put any effort in. What pops in my mind is what goes in the post. That's it, pure and simple. I guess it's more like a direct flow from mind to keyboard.
