Procrastination

So I have a visual analysis for art history due tomorrow and I only have about one page of it done. I think this must be the ultimate definition of procrastination. Well, I'm finally motivated to get down to business after working, watching the Oscars, and eating a couple of york peppermint patties. Wish me luck!

Oscar!

I saw this movie the other night with my boyfriend. I wasn't sure what it would be like, but I most certainly wasn't disappointed. The music, slapstick comedy, adventure plot, and character development were all fantastic. I read the comics when I was younger and felt that familiar pang of nostalgia upon experiencing this animated feature. To all those who have and have not read the comics, this movie is well worth the effort of driving to the theaters one evening.

On another note, The Artist won Best Picture! I'm going to see that film this coming week. Excited!

Danny Lyon

Last Tuesday I had the unique pleasure of hearing Danny Lyon give a talk at my University. I had previously purchased one of his books, Knave of Hearts, which he signed for me. While the talk was less academic than I thought it would be, he had a sense of humor and wit that kept things interesting. The image above is currently being displayed in our art museum's photo exhibition. It is an image that tells of freedom, rebellion, and youth.
